DAY 1 ARRIVE LAS VEGAS

Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to Las Vegas. Upon arrival, collect your rental car and proceed to your hotel. Las Vegas is the entertainment capital of the world, so even after a long journey you will be drawn to experience this amazing destination after dark with its incredible themed hotels and an atmosphere that is so unique.

DAY 2 GRAND CANYON

Driving Distance: 285Mi/459Km
From the city of entertainment to the awe inspiring Grand Canyon, truly one of the most spectacular sights in the world. En route, take time to stop and take a tour of the Hoover Dam, on the Nevada/Arizona border. When you arrive at the canyon the remainder of the afternoon is yours to enjoy either a hike into the Canyon or perhaps to take an aerial flight for a bird’s eye view.

DAYS 3 & 4 LAKE POWELL

Driving Distance: 135Mi/216Km
A leisurely morning at the Grand Canyon is followed by a short drive to Lake Powell. Enjoy two nights at the Lake Powell Resort overlooking the man-made lake, which was created when the Glenn Canyon Dam was built in 1966. Don’t miss taking the boat trip out to Rainbow Bridge, the tallest natural bridge in the world.

DAY 5 MONUMENT VALLEY

Driving Distance: 125Mi/200Km
Depart for Monument Valley, one of the most photographed places in America. Many parts of this visually stunning area can be better viewed by taking one of the escorted jeep rides which are offered with a Navajo Indian guide. Relax and experience the serenity of the incredible scenery in this beautiful part of the world.

DAYS 6 & 7 MOAB

Driving Distance: 180Mi/290Km
Some of the best scenery in the southwest can be viewed on the journey to Moab, so take some time to enjoy it. Two nights in Moab gives you plenty of opportunity to explore Utah’s majestic scenery and perhaps take a drive down to Canyonlands and Arches National Parks. There’s a wide range of recreational choices including hiking, rafting, boating, four wheel drive tours and scenic air flights.

DAY 8 CAPITOL REEF NATIONAL PARK

Driving Distance: 160Mi/225Km
Named for the enormous rock ridge that runs for more than 150 Km through it, Capitol Reef is a very peaceful and tranquil National Park with several hiking trails and scenic drives winding through it.

DAY 9 BRYCE CANYON

Driving Distance: 120Mi/192Km
Today’s short drive brings you to spectacular Bryce Canyon. Here you can see some of the earth’s most colourful rocks, sculpted by erosion into pillars and spires. You may choose to leave your car and take a hike along one of the many loop trails down into the Canyon and walk among the colourful stone monuments.

DAY 10 ZION NATIONAL PARK & LAS VEGAS

Driving Distance: 245Mi/395Km
The journey back to Las Vegas takes you through Zion National Park, where desert terrain and huge sculpted rock formations co-exist alongside waterfalls and blossoming gardens. Tonight, experience the sights and sounds of Las Vegas, with great restaurants and a wide range of shows and entertainment.

DAY 11 JOURNEY HOME

Time for some last minute shopping or sightseeing before making your way back to Las Vegas McCarran Airport to return your rental car and check-in for your flight back to the UK.

Maverick Helicopters

Las Vegas


For over 15 years, Maverick has been operating the largest fleet of ECO-star helicopters in the world. These helicopters feature wrap-around glass for outstanding visibility, together with front-facing theatre style leather seats, noise reduction headsets and voice activated microphones, allowing everyone to interact and communicate with fellow passengers as well as the pilot. The departure terminal is located on the Las Vegas strip, so you only have a short transfer from your hotel, and you will enjoy a private check-in in a peaceful lounge environment. Your pilot will greet you and give a brief orientation of the helicopter and your chosen trip. With 23% larger cabin space than most helicopters flying today, this VIP level of service really is the limousine of the sky!

WIND DANCER

A ‘must do’ flight experience, taking you over Lake Las Vegas, Lake Mead, Hoover Dam and the extinct volcano, Fortification Hill. You may see wildlife as you soar above the desert, so keep you eyes peeled along the way. Descend 3,500 feet below the rim and land in the Grand Canyon, alongside the Colorado River in the Hualapai Indian Territory. Within one of the great natural wonders of the world you will be served champagne, beverages and a light snack. Finally, fly back through the Canyon and witness the spectacular red rock formations. With your tour almost coming to an end, you’ll enjoy a quick flight over downtown Las Vegas and ‘The Strip’ before arriving back at Maverick headquarters. Tour approximately 4 hours.

MAVERICK RAFTING EXPERIENCE

This wonderful tour combines all the great sights of the Wind Dancer with a unique rafting experience. Following your helicopter adventure through the Grand Canyon, the ECO-Star helicopter will transport you to Boulder City Airport to meet your rafting crew. Departing from the base of Hoover Dam, the fully-motorised raft adventure takes you 12 miles through scenic Black Canyon on the Colorado River. Several stops are enjoyed en-route, including one for lunch, before arrival at Willow Beach Arizona, from where you are transported back to your Las Vegas hotel. Tour approximately 9.5 hours.
