The perfect day on Oahu. Pack a cooler with drinks and a picnic, and make sure you have your swimsuit, towels and sunscreen with you. Its time to explore this beautiful island.

Head east from Waikiki through Kapi'olani Park. Follow the road that goes around the front of Diamond Head. As well as being Hawaii's most recognizable landmark, it has a couple of scenic overlooks where you can watch the surfers along the South Shore. Travel on through Kahala and Hawaii Kai to the rugged east coast of the island.

Enjoy some fantastic snorkelling at Hanauma Bay before you continue on past the Blow Hole and Sandy Beach to Makapu'u, a perfect place to stop and enjoy sights of the real Hawaii. Mark Twain said that Hawaii is 'the most beautiful fleet of islands. The mountains plunge from the sky into the sea and on a clear day the palette of colour is breathtaking. If you are an accomplished body surfer, you will definately enjoy the challenge of Makapu'u Bay.

Continue towards the North Shore and Hale'iwa, a little town on Oahu's North Shore that's filled with galleries, antique shops and great restaurants. The road hugs the coastline most of the way. There are parks, picnic stops, scenic overlooks and waterfalls for miles. This may be the most scenic drive on the island. Where the mountains touch the sea is always a special place.

If you're looking for golf, there's a fantastic course at Turtle Bay Resort, but you may want to save that for another day. a little further a Sunset Beach - if surf is up here, it's awe-inspiring.

It's time to head back to Waikiki, and what better way to end your perfect day on Oahu than taking a romantic walk along Waikiki Beach to watch the moon rise over Diamond Head.

Waikiki has so many fabulous restaurants, offering a vast array of cuisine that no matter what your taste, you are sure to find something to suit your taste, you are sure to find something to suit your mood and palate. If you still have some energy left after such a busy day, there's certainly plenty of nightlife in this cosmopolitan resort.

DAY 1 ARRIVE SAN FRANCISCO

Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to San Francisco. Upon arrival, transfer independently to the Fairmont, located on prestigious Nob Hill.

DAY 2 SAN FRANCISCO

Today is yours to explore this fabulously enchanting city. There are a myriad of attractions to enjoy, but be sure to visit the Golden Gate Bridge, Lombard Street, Alcatraz and Union Sqaure.

DAY 3 OAHU

Depart San Francisco on your chosen flight to Hawaii. Upon arrival, transfer to The Royal Hawaiian, your base for the next three nights. This evening enjoy a sumptuous dinner at the hotel.

DAY 4 OAHU

This morning starts with a visit to the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor. Next you’ll journey into downtown Honolulu for more sightseeing, including a visit to Washington Place and the State Capitol Building.

DAY 5 OAHU

Today’s tour takes you from the south of Oahu to the scenic windward side, where you’ll visit Halona Blow Hole. Back in Waikiki, a local will give a short talk before taking an outrigger canoe ride

DAY 6 KAUAI

Leaving Oahu, you’ll fly to Kauai and enjoy a marvellous lunch overlooking Hanalei Bay. After lunch, your journey includes stops at 40ft Opaekaa Falls and Spouting Horn and you’ll pass through the Tunnel of Trees.

DAY 7 KAUAI

The Grand Hyatt Kauai is a luxurious resort so you may choose to spend your morning relaxing by the pool. Alternatively, you have the option of soaring above the island on a helicopter adventure. This afternoon, enjoy an interpretive talk on the unique ecology of the Pacific Ocean Islands.

DAY 8 MAUI

Your short flight today takes you to the ‘Valley Island’ of Maui. Sweeping towards the old wailing town of Lahaina, you’ll have the opportunity to see Iao Needle and see the islands sugar cane fields.

DAY 9 MAUI

Today’s highlight is a visit to an award-winning restaurant for an interactive cooking experience, where you’ll discover the secrets of authentic island cuisine. The rest of your day is at leisure. Perhaps spend some time at the beach or head off to explore more of the island.

DAY 10 MAUI

This morning travel through lunar landscapes to the summit of Mount Haleakala, known as Maui’s House of the Sun. This is a sacred site revered for its spiritual energy and formidable crater. This evening indulge in a feast of Hawaiian food whilst enjoying a traditional ‘luau’.

DAY 11 BIG ISLAND

Today you fly to your final Hawaiian island, the Big Island of Hawaii. Upon arrival, enjoy a tour of the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, a geologic wonder of craters and lava tubes, before enjoying a sumptous lunch.

DAY 12 BIG ISLAND

Today is at your own pace, so you are free to do as much or as little as you wish! You can play a round of golf, be pampered at the spa, scuba dive the crystal waters or take the optional helicopter flight for a birds’ eye view of the island. This evening you are treated to a sunset catamaran cruise along the Kohala Coast.

DAY 13 BIG ISLAND

You get to explore more of the island today. Step back in time on a guided sightseeing tour of Pu’uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park, a place of sanctuary dating back centuries. Then it’s on to the Painted Church before visiting the charming seaside village of Kailua-Kona.This is the last evening with your tour group, so you'll enjoy a farewell cocktail reception and dinner.

DAY 14 LOS ANGELES

Perhaps spend your last morning by the pool before making your way to the airport for your flight back to the mainland. On arrival, transfer independently to the Mr. C Beverly Hills, located in the wonderful Beverly Hills area of the city.

DAY 15 LOS ANGELES

Today is yours to discover why The City of Angels is such a popular destination. From your base in Beverly Hills, Hollywood’s famous sites including Grauman's Chinese Theatre, Sunset Drive and the Kodak Centre, are all within easy reach. No visit to Los Angeles would be complete without taking a walk along Rodeo Drive or seeing the famous Hollywood sign.
