Lanai

The Hawaiian Islands

Lanai is one of the smallest and most secluded of the Hawaiian Islands, yet it's full of surprises.
Known as the ‘Pineapple Isle’, this alluring island blends sophistication with spectacular natural beauty ranging from the beachcomber’s paradise of Shipwreck Beach to sensational underwater lava sea caves.

Lanai is 98% privately owned by The Lanai Company (of Dole Plantation fame), and they have developed the island as an exclusive resort destination, with just two very unique hotels. The Lodge at Keole is located up-coutry at the edge of the mountains, offering a very different flavour of Hawaii, alongside the famous 'Experience at Koele' championship golf course.

Enjoying an oceanfront settling is the Menele Bay Resort where you can indulge in water sports like sailing, fishing and scuba diving. If you prefer dry land, try your hand on the other championship golf courses on the island, 'The Challenge at Manele'.

Easily accessible by road is Shipwreck Beach on the North side of the island. It's an eight mile stretch of sand that makes for wonderful beach-combing.
