DAY 1 ARRIVE BOSTON

Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to Boston. Upon arrival collect your rental car and proceed to your hotel.

DAYS 2 BOSTON

We've allowed a full day for you to explore the many faces of this vibrant city. Be sure to try some of the attractions here, including a Boston Duck Tour, a ride on the Swan Boats, shopping at Quicy Market and exploring the Freedom Trail. An array of dining options offers every culinary delight imaginable.

DAYS 3  & 4 MEREDITH 

Driving distance: 108Mi/174Km
A short drive today takes you north into the beautiful state of New Hampshire. Meredith, sitting on Lake Winnipesaukee has a stunning setthing and offers an array of water and land activities. Journey into the White Mountains and visit Mount Washington, New Hampshire's tallest mountain, You should also make a stop at North Conway and ride the Conway Scenic Railroad.

DAY 5 & 6 MANCHESTER

Driving distance: 132Mi/212Km
As you cross the state line into Vermont be sure to make a stop at Quechee Gorge, Vermont’s own mini Grand Canyon. Another recommended stop is at Woodstock where you can view scenic covered bridges and experience a traditional New England village. Manchester is tucked in the heart of the Green Mountains offering an array of recreational activities and splendid landscapes, as well as a multitude of outlet shopping opportunities. On your second day, why not take a short drive to the south of the state and perhaps cross the border into the Berkshire Hills of Massachusettes. Take a gentle stroll around the charming village of Williamstown or the quaint town of Hancock which boasts a historical connection to the signing of the Declaration of Independance.

DAY 7 STOCKBRIDGE

Driving distance: 74Mi/120Km
Visit Lenox, summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Hancock Shaker Village and Stockbridge once home to Norman Rockwell and now featuring a museum dedicated to his life. Your journey takes you across Massachusetts to Sturbridge, and Old Sturbridge Village, a living 19th century museum.

DAYS 8 & 9 NEWPORT

Driving distance: 157Mi/253Km
Spend the morning exploring Sturbridge before continuing south on the journey to Newport, Rhode Island. The coastal town of Newport was once home to America’s first millionaires and now visitors flock to Cliff Walk and Ten Mile Drive to see the magnificent mansions. Don’t forget to try some of the wonderful seafood at the marina during your stay.

DAYS 10 & 11 CHATHAM

Driving distance: 94Mi/151Km
Travel on to Cape Cod, a fabulous summer resort with white sandy beaches and abundant attractions. Chatham, sitting half way along the peninsula, allows easy access to Provincetown for a whale watching experience and the port town of Hyannis.

DAYS 12 & 13 MARTHA’S VINEYARD

Driving distance: 65Mi/104Km (inc. ferry)
Today you will take the passenger ferry from Hyannis to the island of Martha’s Vineyard and the coastal town of Edgartown where you will spend the next 2 nights. Built in 1891, your historic hotel is located in the heart of town providing the perfect base for your stay.

DAY 14 SANDWICH

Driving distance: 39Mi/62Km (inc. ferry)
Take the ferry back to Cape Cod and collect your car rental. You may wish to explore the fishing town of Yarmouth before crossing to Sandwich on the north coast where you will spend this evening. If time allows we suggest a visit to Plymouth where Plimoth Plantation depicts life in 1627, a real treat.

DAY 15 JOURNEY HOME

Driving distance: 57Mi/92Km
Make the final journey back to Boston Airport, where you return your car to Alamo and check in for your flight to the UK.
