    Digby has become the destination of the largest motorcycle rally in Atlantic Canada. The annual Wharf Rat Rally takes place on Labour Day weekend where the city’s population grows from 2,000 residents to 50,000 people, including 25,000 motorcycles.

    Nova Scotia is one of the best places to see marine life and with a prime location on the Annapolis Basin you’re in for a treat. Go on whale watching excursion to see Finback Whales, Minke Whales, North Atlantic Right Whales, Pilot whales, Sperm and Blue Whales, Dolphins, Bluefin Tuna, Sea Turtles and even Basking Sharks.

    From here, you can explore Digby Neck, Long and Brier Islands, and the French Shore.

    Arrive Halifax

    Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to Halifax. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Enjoy a little time to relax before you meet your Tauck Tour Director and travelling companions for a welcome reception and dinner.

    Your journey begins with a visit to Peggy's Cove, a picturesque Nova Scotia fishing town that's one of the most-photographed spots in North America. Continue along the rugged Atlantic coast to the fishing village of Lunenburg. Named a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its well-preserved, colourful 19th century timber-built houses, you have a choice of activities whilst visiting the town. After lunch, you have a choice of sightseeing in Lunenberg. See the village's 18th and 19th century timber-built houses on a walking tour, or visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic, housed in historic waterfront buildings and gain insights into the Maritime Provinces' seafaring heritage. Return to Halifax this evening.

    Halifax offers so many options to keep you entertained that today is free for you to choose what you'd like to discover. Join a city tour or a local guided walk through the Halifax Public Gardens. This evening, enjoy an exclusive private tour of the Citadel and a hearty dinner.

    Prince Edward Island

    Today starts with a ferry ride from Nova Scotia across to Prince Edward Island, the smallest of the Atlantic Provinces. Once settled in Old Charlottetown enjoy an afternoon walking tour, before relaxing in your hotel, just steps from Old Charlottetown's boardwalk and Peake's Wharf, nestled between two rivers in a quiet protected harbour. The evening is free to spend as you please. You may choose to visit Founders Hall, where the history of Canada's origins is chronicled.

    Greenwich Peninsula & Green Gables

    This morning allows free time for exploration of Charlottetown before making the short journey to Prince Edward Island National Park. The scenery is astounding. See dramatic bluffs, sweeping dunes, endless coastline and salt marshes which are rich in wildlife. After a scenic drive, winding through quaint fishing villages and alongside magnificent beaches you arrive at Green Gables House, the famous farmhouse in Lucy Maud Montgomery's book Anne of Green Gables. End your day with one of Atlantic Canada's traditional lobster dinner.

    Cross the magnificent Confederation Bridge to the province of New Brunswick and make the short journey back to Nova Scotia. Enjoy some time at Port-Royal National Historic Site and the Habitation. One of the earliest settlements in North America, reconstructed early 17th century buildings come to life through costumed interpreters and demonstrations.

    Digby Neck Whale Watching

    It is a real highlight today, as you journey to wildlife-rich Digby Neck for a whale watching excursion on the Bay of Fundy. Keep an eye out for finback, minke and humpback whales and lots of seals, drawn to the bay by its abundant plankton.The afternoon is free for you to explore some of the surrounding area or enjoy one of the activities available at your beautiful resort, before joining your new friends for a farewell dinner.

    Journey Home

    There's a final stop at Grande-Pre National Historic Site en route back to Halifax Airport, where you check-in for your return flight to the UK.
