Although it's part of the mainland, this stretch of mountain-backed coastline is only accessible by sea or air, and has the quiet pace of an island. Boating among the coastal fjords, touring studios and galleries, beachcombing, golfing, hiking the Sunshine Coast Trail, kayaking, and fishing are draws to the area. Your base for the next three nights is at West Coast Wilderness Lodge enjoying their Signature Getaway Package. Take in the incredible inlet and ocean views from this lodge which is perched high on the cliffside. By day, explore the wild surroundings by helicopter, boat or floatplane, going beyond the cedar and fir forests to spot wildlife as well as witness the natural phenomenon of Skookumchuch Rapids, which are the fastest salt water rapids in North America.
