The Fairmont Royal York is due to start its second phase of renovations. Scheduled to start late August 2018 and be completed by late December 2018, guest arrival will be the focus of the changes. A new reception area, updating the restaurant and introducing a new lounge.
- They are installing custom fabricated temporary walls (hoarding) in the main lobby to ensure not only guests' safety but to also shield any view of the ongoing renovation.
- Their Front Desk will be temporarily re-located to the Lower Lobby Level which can be accessed by the main doors on Front Street as well as both east and west arrival areas. Guests will still have access to both the east and main wing elevators.
- The dining venue, Epic, will be closed, however all four remaining food and beverage outlets will remain open an in-room dining will continue to be available.
