Rosewood Hotel Georgia is ideally located in the heart of Vancouver. Stanley Park, the Seawall and some of Vancouver’s finest restaurants, boutiques, art galleries and museums are moments away.
Accommodation
This legendary hotel first opened its doors in 1927, and has always attracted high-profile guests, including Elvis Presley, Katharine Hepburn and British Royalty. The 156 guestrooms layer modern sophistication against the historical features of the hotel’s original splendour. Expect sleek furnishings, spa-inspired bathrooms and an array of amenities, including flat screen televisions, iPod docking stations, Nespresso coffee-makers, luxury bathroom amenities, bathrobes and slippers.
Facilities
The hotel boasts an array of facilities which complement its central location. Hawksworth Restaurant provides fine dining for those seeking locally-inspired cuisine, whereas Bel Cafe offers a more casual setting to enjoy light snacks and premium coffees. With an outdoor terrace and blazing fire pit, Reflections provides a relaxing atmosphere where light fare, local wines and speciality cocktails can be enjoyed. After returning from a busy day sightseeing, unwind in Sense, A Rosewood Spa or in the indoor pool. The more energetic may wish to work out at the fitness centre.
Renovations
Hotel closure and full renovation
Rosewood Hotel Georgia is under renovations in early 2024, with a full closure of the hotel from January 1st to March 31st, 2024. It will include renovation of guestrooms, corridors, lobby lounge, hotel lobby and the Reflections Terrace, and expected to have a completion date of the end of March 2024. The exception is Reflections Terrace, which will still have some internal improvements and changes to complete during April and May.
January to March 2024 - Complete renovation of guestrooms including flooring, lighting, sheers, curtains, wall coverings, headboard, desk, chair and furniture. Still discussing whether the bathrooms will have hand-showers installed. New carpeting in guestroom corridors. 1927 Lobby Lounge expansion, which will expand into the lobby. The Front Desk and Concierge Desk will move closer toward Bel Cafe. The current Front Desk will become the bar.
January to May 2024 - Reflections Terrace full demolition and renovation to install a retractable canopy. Please note that the hard renovations for Reflections Terrace are expected to be completed by the end of March 2024 whilst the hotel is closed but there will still be some enhancements completed in April and May. If there’s noise, they will allocate as many rooms facing away from the building as possible. They expect to reopen Reflections Terrace in early June 2024.
