A National Historic Landmark located in the heart of Yosemite National Park, Ahwahnee provides an ideal base to experience this magical destination. As the most upscale hotel in Yosemite, guestrooms, suites and cottages are very well appointed and are designed with a Native American theme. The rustic cottage rooms are dotted amongst the dogwoods and pines within the hotel grounds, and feature natural wood furnishings and small stone patios. The Dining Room provides a magnificent setting to enjoy a memorable dining experience, and drinks can be savoured in Ahwahnee Bar. The hotel also offers a heated outdoor pool.

Structural enhancements

A decades-long National Park Service project known as The Ahwahnee Comprehensive Rehabilitation Plan, is taking place. The hotel is undergoing significant seismic repairs and strengthening to ensure the safety and stability of this historic property for generations to come. Considering the immense scale of this project, however, rehabilitation will continue through the remainder of the year. Guests may experience the common signs and sounds of construction, including temporarily closed areas, cutting and grinding noises, and vibration, particularly on the concrete patios surrounding the building, balconies, and main kitchen. Work is taking place Monday to Friday, between 9am and 5:30pm. No completion date is yet available.
