North Shore Mountain Discovery

  • 7 Hours
  • April to October

This tour highlights the beauty of Vancouver’s North Shore and the coastal temperate rainforest. Spend your day exploring the Capilano
Suspension Bridge Park, Grouse Mountain Resort, and a bonus stop at the Capilano Salmon Hatchery. Start the day by learning about the lifecycle of the Pacific Salmon at the Capilano Salmon Hatchery. This facility, located along the Capilano River, plays a role in the conservation of this species. This light activity takes you into the extraordinary nature surrounding the city. Rising 1,250 metres (4,100 feet) above Vancouver, Grouse Mountain offers a stunning city view and an array of activities. Meet the resident grizzly bears, Grinder and Coola, who reside at the Refuge for Endangered Wildlife on the mountain. Have lunch at one of the many dining options, and check out the historical and nature-based films playing at Theatre in the Sky. With a few hours of free time, take the Peak Chair to the very top of the mountain and for an additional cost,
enter the Eye of the Wind, a large wind turbine with an observation platform. Lastly, at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, cross the famous suspension bridge spanning a heart-pounding 137 metres (450 feet) and 73 metres (230 feet) above the Capilano River. Also, make sure to allow time to visit the Treetops Adventure and CliffWalk, as well as the extensive grounds of the park.
