Laguna Beach & Dana Point

Laguna Beach

Located midway between Los Angeles and San Diego and nestled between the sparkling blue Pacific and majestic canyons, Laguna Beach is Southern Caifornia’s premier coastal destination. A year-round retreat for art lovers, nature enthusiasts, and beachgoers, Laguna Beach offers seven miles of soft sand, sound of the surf and miles of hidden coves. Spectacular views, chic restaurants, unique shops and one-of-a-kind art galleries await you.

Soak up the sun on the beach or enjoy many of the water sports available. Take a cruise to watch the dophins and whales playing, or head out for deep sea fishing. On land enjoy a round of golf, a tennis tournament or take to the hills for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. Laguna Beach has established itself as a world-class culinary destination. With more than 90 restaurants in our 8-mile span along the coastline, you are sure to find any type of cuisine for any mood and budget.

The beach resorts of Greater Los Angeles have recently been under the spotlight in a whole host of US films and television programmes, providing great exposure of their boutique shopping, chic dining and of course superb beaches. If you want to wake each morning to the sound of the surf and enjoy days in a seaside atmosphere, yet still have easy access to Los Angeles’ attractions, one of California’s beaches is an ideal choice.

Dana Point

The beautiful seaside city of Dana Point is located in Orange County, Southern California, about halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego. Dana Point is a favourite central point, bordered by the cities of Laguna Niguel and Laguna Beach to the north, San Juan Capistrano to the east, and San Clemente to the south.

Dana Point attracts visitors from around the world and enchants them with seven miles of coastal bluffs, pristine beaches and the magnificent Pacific Ocean. It gained its first popularity as a surfer’s paradise in the 1950s and ’60s, known for 12-foot waves, later named ‘Killer Dana’, and California’s first commercial surf shop, which was set up here in 1954 and still thrives today.

Dana Point is known as the dolphin and whale watching capital of the world, with tours departing daily from the Dana Point Harbor. Other activities featured in the coastal community are golfing, deep-sea fishing, stand-up paddle boarding, yoga, and much more.

The natural and beautiful harmony of the cliffs, beaches, harbour and world-class resorts, mean that the activities are amongst the most awe-inspiring of any California destination.

The harbour offers fantastic opportunities for kayaking and paddle boarding around the calm bay where you will be surrounded by marine wildlife, including dolphins, sea lions, and seals. You’ll find unique boutiques and laid-back eateries offering fresh seafood along the Pacific Coast Highway, as well as in the Lantern District.
