    Day 01

    Arrive Jackson

    Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to Jackson. Upon arrival, collect your car and make the short journey to Teton Village which provides your base for the next two nights.

    Day 02

    Teton Village

    Grand Teton National Park is often overshadowed by its larger neighbour Yellowstone National Park, however it is equally beautiful and provides greater opportunity to see Wyoming’s bear and moose population. Your hotel sits just a few minutes south of the park in Teton Village, which is a quaint town offering a selection of restaurants and shops.

    Yellowstone National Park

    Today, you head north past Jenny Lake to majestic Yellowstone National Park. Although spanning across three US states, 96% of the park is located in Wyoming. Sitting on Yellowstone Plateau, the park has lakes and waterfalls, mountains and valleys, a petrified forest and of course the infamous geothermal geysers. There is so much to see and do, we have allowed two nights staying at a hotel within the park, overlooking tranquil Lake Yellowstone.

    It is time to venture into Montana, and today's drive takes you through Gold West Country. You may decide to stop at the World Museum of Mining in Butte or at the Virginia and Nevada City Mines which are two preserved mining camps from the 1860’s gold rush era, before arrival at the luxurious Ranch at Rock Creek where excellent service, personalised activities and gourmet dining await. The concierge service will talk you through the activities available and plan your stay so you experience everything offered. Try fly fishing, archery, clay pigeon shooting, biking, hiking and of course the horseback riding to amazing view points across the Montana plains.

    Whitefish Lake / Glacier National Park

    Departing Gold West Country you head north and cross into Glacier Country, home to Flathead Indian Reservation. En route we suggest a stop at National Bison Range which protects one of the most important remaining herds of American Bison and at Flathead Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake in western USA at almost 200 square miles. Your hotel is located at Whitefish, overlooking the lake and offers a plethora of outdoor recreation. No stay in this region would be complete without visiting Glacier National Park. This natural haven has more than 700 miles of maintained trails, sparkling lakes, alpine glaciers and deep forests to explore.

    Returning south, your journey passes through the traditional large town of Missoula, and the small town of Hamilton which houses Daly Mansion, the historic home of 19th century industrialist Marcus Daly. Covering 46 lush acres it is filled with artefacts and exhibits from the era. Next it’s on to your second ranch experience. A member of the prestigious Relais and Chateau Collection, Triple Creek is a luxurious adult only ranch. Take to the water on a white water rafting or scenic river floating trip whilst back on land, hiking, biking, horseback riding and all-terrain vehicle tours beckon you to give them a try.

    Day 16 Day 17


    It is a short drive today into Idaho, but wonderfully scenic so keep your camera’s close by. We suggest you follow the Wild & Scenic River Corridor for the most beautiful views. This route includes the Northwest Passage Scenic Byway which hugs the Clearwater and Lochsa Rivers. En route visit Nez Perce National Historic Park and take a small detour to Hells Canyon National Recreation Area where you can see Hells Canyon Dam and drive the parks scenic byway. Your hotel for the next two nights sits on the shores of Payette Lake, offering an idyllic retreat with many recreational opportunities.

    Day 18 Day 19

    Sun Valley

    This morning’s delight is the Payette River Scenic Byway, which journeys alongside the wet and wild Payette River and grandiose Boise National Forest. Next, take the Wildlife Canyon Scenic Byway and make a stop at turbulent South Fork, where whitewater rafting is the top attraction. It’s a brief journey along the Ponderosa Pine Scenic Byway before finally taking the Sawtooth Scenic Byway to your destination of Sun Valley.

    Day 20


    Journey a portion of the Peaks to Glaciers Scenic Byway this morning and see Craters of the Moon National Monument and Lost River Valley, before crossing the state line back into Wyoming. This evening is yours to unwind at the amazing Amangani, one of the most luxurious hotels in Jackson Hole.

    Journey home

    You may decide to spend your last morning relaxing by the pool before making the short drive back to Jackson Airport, where you return your rental car and check-in for your flight back to the UK.

    Rapid City, South Dakota

    Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to Rapid City. Upon arrival, transfer independently to The Rushmore Hotel.

    Day 02

    Rapid City & Badlands National Park, South Dakota

    Make your way east toward Badlands National Park - a maze of buttes, canyons and gullies formed by millions of years of erosion. On your way back to Rapid City, stop in at the small gateway town of Wall to visit Wall Drug. Rapid City is home to the Journey Museum and a newly-revamped downtown scene.

    Day 03

    The Black Hills of South Dakota

    Today you will visit the majestic Mount Rushmore National Memorial - a 60-foot-high mountain carving of U.S. Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. You will also have chance to visit the Crazy Horse Memorial – a massive granite carving honoring the Native American warrior will stand 563 feet high and 641 feet long when complete. It's then on to Custer State Park, the second largest state park in the nation and home to 1,500 bison and granite outcroppings. Drive the 18 mile Wildlife Loop Road. Head to the Old West town of Deadwood where the legends of Wild Bill Hickock and Calamity Jane live on. Why not visit the Days of 76 Museum or try your luck at one of the town’s numerous gaming parlours.

    Day 04

    Medora, North Dakota

    Head north to Medora, diverting slightly east en route to admire the Enchanted Highway, a 32-mile stretch of paved county highway that features spectacular giant concrete and metal sculptures. In Medora take in the nightly outdoor Medora Musical and Pitchfork Fondue dinner in the summer with the dynamic landscape of the North Dakotan Badlands as your backdrop.

    Day 05

    Theodore Roosevelt National Park, North Dakota

    Spend the day exploring Theodore Roosevelt National Park and North Dakota’s Badlands which have been shaped by millions of years of wind, rain, erosion, fire and the meandering Little Missouri River.

    Day 06

    Billings, Montana

    Make your way into Montana, known as Big Sky Country, and Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument which serves as a symbol for both sides – the U.S. Cavalry and Native American Indians, who fought on the banks of the Little Bighorn River.

    Day 07

    Cody, Wyoming

    Explore downtown Billings before heading across state borders into Wyoming toward Buffalo Bill’s Cody. Lose yourself in the expansive Buffalo Bill Center of the West, a complex of five thematic museums, visit the Old Trail Town, view the live shootout performances in front of the Irma Hotel, and take in the daily Summer Cody Night Rodeo.

    Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

    An early start is required for the nation’s first national park, Yellowstone - best known for the geysers, hot springs and mud pots that make the park one of the most active geothermal areas on the planet. The awe-inspiring landscape covers 2,000,000 acres with over 10,000 thermal features and hundreds of animal species. Popular sites include Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone Lake, Old Faithful, Lamar and Hayden Valleys and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone with its inspirational view of Lower Falls.

    Day 10

    Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming

    Take a day trip south to Grand Teton National Park, dominated by the Tetons, a 40-mile mountain range that is part of the famed Rocky Mountains. Spend the day exploring the park – drive the 42-mile Scenic Loop, visit Grand Teton National Park Visitors Center, or take the Aerial Tram. Enjoy a hike or wildlife safari, take a boat trip on one of the lakes and visit the town of Jackson.

    Day 11

    Butte & Anaconda, Montana

    Make your way north and back into Montana towards Bozeman. Visit the Museum of the Rockies, home to one of the largest collections of dinosaur fossils, as you pass through on your way to Butte. Explore the historical downtown of Butte before continuing to your hotel, which is located 15 miles away in the town of Anaconda.

    Day 12

    Whitefish, Montana

    Take the scenic route to Philipsburg, one of the ‘Prettiest Painted Places in America’ to mine for authentic Montana sapphires! As you head north stop in at the artsy town of Missoula to visit the Smoke Jumper Visitor Center which tells the story of how elite, highly trained firefighters fight forest fires in remote areas throughout the country, and admire the crystal clear waters of Flathead Lake.

    Day 13 Day 14

    Glacier National Park, Montana

    Spend the day in the spectacular Glacier National Park, to explore glacial-scoured valleys, towering peaks, tumbling waterfalls, verdant forests and wildflower-strewn meadows. Keep an eye out for grizzly bears, elk, mountain goats and bighorn sheep. Drive the magnificent 85km Going-To-The-Sun-Road and hike some of the 1,126km of trails.

    Day 15

    Journey Home

    There may be time for some last minute sightseeing, before making the journey back to Glacier Park International Airport for your return flight to the UK.

    Waterton Lakes & Glacier National Park

    Today you visit two national parks on the border of Canada and the USA, Waterton Lakes National Park and Glacier National Park with 50 glaciers, 200 lakes and 1,000 miles of streams. Although rustic, your accommodation for the next two nights are considered to be the best in the parks.

    Day 03

    'Going-to-the Sun' Road

    After a morning cruise on the alpine lakes, you drive the narrow, curving and spectacular 'Going-to-the-Sun' road. Crossing the Continental Divide, you enjoy majestic peaks, graceful valleys, blue glaciers and alpine wildflowers. Nestled on the shores of the largest lake inside Glacier National Park, your Swiss chalet-style lodge accommodation offers magnificent views.

    Day 04

    Kootenay National Park

    Today you're heading into the heart of western Canada’s great timberlands, then continuing into lovely Kootenay National Park through Sinclair Canyon and Radium Hot Springs. Your final destination is Lake Louise, where Victoria Glacier glistens in the waters of the lake. Your hotel, located directly on the lake, offers a picture-postcard setting.

    Day 05

    Moraine Lake & Lake Louise

    After a guided trip to Moraine Lake, which is one of the most photographed spots in all of Canada, it's back to your hotel for an afternoon at leisure. Choose to relax in the hotel or hike, kayak or canoe on Lake Louise. Perhaps take one of the guided walks offered by the hotel, to learn about the areas flora and fauna.

    Day 06

    Icefields Parkway & Jasper

    Breathtaking Icefields Parkway reveals spectacular scenes of peaks, canyons, waterfalls and glaciers, plus moose, bighorn sheep, mountain goats and bear. Resplendent Jasper Park is your home for the next two nights.

    Day 07

    Day 08

    Columbia Icefield

    Today you discover the incredible Columbia Icefield en route to Banff, where you take a ride in a special glacier vehicle on the surface of the Athabasca Glacier. This ice mass spawns a host of rivers that flow into the Atlantic, Pacific and Arctic Oceans.

    Day 09


    You have the entire day free to enjoy Banff National Park, including the many shops and museums. Nearby activities include canoeing, riding, hiking and golfing, so to be adventurous and head outdoors.

    Journey Home

    After breakfast your journey takes you from Banff to Calgary, where your tour ends at Calgary Airport in time for your return flight to the UK.
