Located right in the centre of the North American Continent and nestled in the heart of the Canadian Plains, Regina, originally named ‘Pile of Bones’, is Saskatchewan’s capital city.

The prairie lands seem to stretch on for as far as the eye can see until Regina, an oasis of nature, culture and heritage comes into view. The ‘Queen City’ was once a barren land but over time it has flourished and now offers an outdoor paradise and cosmopolitan hub for locals and visitors alike.

Discover the restored Cathedral Village and the trendy Regina Warehouse District. Brimming with green and outdoor spaces, the capital is a pleasant place to be. Visit the Wascana Centre and Victoria Park, both ideal spots for getting some fresh air and a break from the bustling city.

Regina boasts an array of fantastic restaurants and unique bars as well as a unique cultural scene. Visit Cathedral District which is lined with bookshops, cafes and a few restaurants dotted here and there, making it a more laid back alternative from busy downtown.

Don’t miss the ‘noon parade’ of the infamous mounted police force on alternate days throughout the week. The Mounties are trained in Regina at the historic training facility, the RCMP Heritage Centre, bringing  Canada’s oldest and most iconic stories, the story of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to life one.
