Room Renovations

Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is undergoing room refurbishment to the Painter and Glacier Wings (excluding Fairmont Gold). The project will include the addition of air conditioning into those which dont currently have it, replacing split windows with single pane picture windows, soft furnishings, painting and decorating. The refurbishment commenced the third week of September 2023 and has an estimated completion of May 2024. The project will be completed in several phases, across the respective wings of the hotel and entail buffer floors and rooms taken out of use to mitigate any negative impact to guests. Work will occur throughout the week and we anticipate guests may experience noise at times. All work will be restricted to between 9am and 6pm on weekdays, and between 10am and 6pm on weekends. Similar renovations to the Barrott Wing will commence in Autumn 2024, when a further phase of work will take place. Currently no further details on this phase are available.

Thermal Wellness Facility Construction

Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is constructing a state-of-the-art Thermal Wellness Facility, which will be located on the former site of the hotels original swimming pool, directly below the Painter Wing. Work began April 2023 and is scheduled for completion around May 2025. During summer 2023 the project was affecting some lake views, however moving forward most of the work is internal which will limit any obstructions except for a crane which remains in place throughout. Construction will generally occur Monday to Friday between 9am and 6pm, with some weekend work where required. Landscaping work will be the last phase of the project where both the facility surrounds and roof will be planted out with native grasses.
