American Cruise Lines offers the newest fleet in America, each ship accommodating just 90 to 180 guests. They offer 5 unique ship styles, including Coastal Cats, Classic Paddlewheelers, Constellation Class Ships, Independence Class, and the only modern American Riverboats. They have become an industry leader, introducing new and innovative ships each year, with the most diverse fleet in the country.

These new ships, built at Chesapeake Shipbuilding in Maryland, are a testament to premier nautical engineering and safety equipment, as well as state-of-the-art navigation. On board a sophisticated aesthetic and an unprecedented level of comfort accommodate modern expectations.

Spacious Staterooms

After a day of discovery, relax in your spacious sanctuary, your home away from home. They offer generous sized staterooms, many of which are the largest in the industry, averaging 300 square feet (ranging from 250 to 650 square feet). Each has an interior entrance allowing for unobstructed outside views of the breathtaking scenery.

Full-length sliding glass doors lead out to a private balcony complete with table and chairs, the perfect place to enjoy drinks and meals, or watch the setting sun as you cruise America’s rivers. Each room has a large bathroom, wardrobe, ample drawer storage, under bed suitcase storage, large LED televisions, seating area, writing desk, and complimentary WiFi. 

 

Life Onboard

The fleet features elegant interior design and a variety of public areas to fit any mood. Comfortable lounges and large observation decks provide the perfect setting for guests to relax and enjoy the company of fellow travellers to share the day’s adventures. Whilst midship lounges offer the ideal place to read a book, play a card game, or work on a puzzle. Be treated to the finest cuisine in a glass-enclosed restaurant, where you can admire panoramic views of the spectacular scenery.

Breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the scenery on the Sun Deck equipped with plenty of comfortable lounge chairs, as well as a putting green or shuffleboard. Keep fit with a visit to one of the onboard fitness centres or get your steps in along the Sky Walk.

Carefully selected onboard experts with knowledge in and passion for American history, ecology, and culture join you on each of the cruises. Their informal presentations, open discussions, and activities bring each region to life. They are available throughout each day to add context to your journey and will also attend shore excursions to give you behind-the-scenes insight into some of America’s most treasured destinations.

Nightly entertainment ranges from interactive lectures to live musical performances in one of the ships’ inviting lounges. Resident entertainers provide light music in the afternoon, while local musicians join you in the evening to perform music born along America’s legendary rivers and waterways.

There are also a variety of onboard activities scheduled throughout the day, depending on the itinerary, including Art Classes, App-titude Classes (Tech Made Easy), Cooking Demonstrations, Fitness, Trivia, and more.
