Grand Canyon Hiking Tours From Flagstaff

  • Multiple Durations Available
  • All year round

Beginner

This hike is for people who want the experience of hiking in the Grand Canyon but don’t want to spend the entire day on the trail. The hike can be enjoyed by guests of nearly any age (7 years of age or older) who are fit and well. Along with the hike, guests travel with their guide to other major South Rim viewpoints. Throughout the fully narrated day, guides share their knowledge of local geology, flora and fauna, biology, natural and cultural history. Guides also share views through a high-powered spotting scope, catching sight of mules, rapids, ancient ruins, mining areas, wildlife, and hikers while visiting the different vistas within the Park.

Intermediate

This is a full-day hike, but not a marathon. The Intermediate Day Hike is a mid-length hike that can be enjoyed by guests who are fit and active. Guests travel with their guide to an introductory viewpoint, and then into the Canyon for a fully-narrated day on the trail. Similar to the beginner hike, guides will share their intimate knowledge of local geology, flora and fauna, biology and cultural history, while guests experience the rugged and vertical terrain around them.

Advanced

This hike is for extremely fit people who want to push their limits. These hikes are intended for experienced guests age 16 or older who are ready for long mileage, exposure, off-trail travel, or all of the above. Guests hit the trail with their guide early for a fully narrated day in the Canyon.
