Leaving San Francisco via the Golden Gate Bridge you’ll pass through the beautiful Marin Headlands on your way to Muir Woods National Monument. There you’ll spend an hour strolling around some of the world’s tallest trees, the Coastal Redwood. Wandering along the misty paths there are plenty of photo opportunities! Continuing north you’ll enjoy a stop in the historic Sonoma Town Square, where you can enjoy lunch (not included) in one of the squares many restaurants or have a picnic under the grapevines. In the afternoon you’ll enjoy wine tasting in the Sonoma Valley Wine Country at a variety of California Wineries. (Muir Woods entrance fee is payable locally.)
