    In summer head for the hills and explore the many hiking and biking trail options in the area. If you are looking for a tough hike try out the rugged Kanawha Trace Trail, which climbs and descends many ridges or opt for the Glade Creek to Kates Fall Trail, a picturesque streamside hike on the bans of the New River. Take to the water for fishing or whitewater rafting, or enjoy the afternoon canoeing or paddle boating o Mallard Lake.

    Take to the skies with and see the beauty of West Virginia from a WWII Stearman Biplane or a Piper Club ride.

    Enjoy a round of golf on the spectacular Cobb Course at the resort at Glade Springs.

    Whilst you are there, be sure to visit the Daniel Vineyards which offers a wide selection of award winning wines, including their famous blackberry wine and robust port.

    In the winter, head for the slopes and enjoy skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and so much more. Appalachian Ski Mountain, Snowshoe Mountain and Sugar Mountain are all within easy reach of Daniels.
