It boasts no fewer than five national parks encompassing 24,000 square miles, and three of them are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This is a land where the active amongst you can really explore, whilst enjoying your pursuit.

Hiking and heli-hiking holidays, biking trips, canoeing and even horseriding breaks beckon for your attention. If you dont want to commit multi-day’s to one activity, there are also a plethora of day experiences that you can build into your itinerary. Or, combine a mix of your favourite pursuits.

Discover the Rockies by Bike

4 days / 3 nights

Cycling Jasper to Banff over four days is the perfect mix of effort, reward and relaxation; an incredible setting in which to challenge yourself physically and mentally, yet find the ability to let go and immerse yourself in the rejuvenation of the Rockies. You’ll take in the views, snap lots of photos, have a few rest breaks – and you’ll still arrive at your nightly destinations with time to spare. Relax in the evenings with a hot bath or a beverage enjoyed in the blaze of a mountain sunset, or explore the nearby sights and views on foot. Staying in the unique and cozy hotels along the Icefields Parkway will give you the extra comfort each night that you deserve.

Horseback Adventure, Backcountry Sundance Explorer

3 days / 2 nights

Enjoy an exhilarating horseback pack trip through untamed wilderness and panoramic scenery. The horseback riding enthusiast will experience an unforgettable excursion through timbered ridges and mountain meadows. Each of the trips includes approx. 5 – 6 hours of riding each day. Ride for approx. 2 ½ to 3 hours in the morning, stop for lunch on the trail and ride another 2 ½ to 3 hours in the afternoon. The rides are all done at a walk in order to take full advantage of the scenery and wildlife viewing. Meals are always an event and the cooks ensure you are well fuelled for the day’s adventures.
