Duff Green Mansion Tour From Vicksburg

  • Multiple Durations Available
  • All year round

Constructed in 1856, just before the outbreak of the Civil War, the Duff Green Mansion stands as one of the finest examples of well-preserved antebellum architecture in Vicksburg. Notably, its owner, Duff Green, demonstrated remarkable foresight by designating the mansion as a “hospital” during the Union occupation of the city, thereby safeguarding it from destruction.

Throughout its storied history, the mansion has served various roles, including functioning as an orphanage and housing the headquarters of the Salvation Army. In the mid-1980s, meticulous efforts were undertaken to restore the mansion to its former glory, transforming it into a private residence and bed-and-breakfast establishment.

Transportation to the meeting point is not included. Contact us for the operating schedule and pricing.
