This morning you will leave the coastal town of Portsmouth and head inland to the town of Meredith. Meredith sits in the heart of the Lake Winnipesaukee Region and serves as the gateway to New England’s majestic White Mountains. During your two nights in Meredith, there is so much to see and do. There are family attractions, historic sites, concerts, country fairs, nature tours, and fun festivals that provide enjoyment for all interests and ages. For outdoor enthusiasts, the options are almost endless with choices that include water sports, boat rides, fishing tours, and hiking and biking trails. For avid shoppers and food lovers, the quaint town offers a variety of distinctive shops, antique galleries, and an array of restaurants with unique back-drops from rustic barns, antique homes, renovated mills and not forgetting lakeside and al fresco dining.

Your journey continues up to the White Mountain National Forest for a two night stay in charming Bretton Woods. Your next stop in Vermont is Manchester, which is nestled at the foot of Mount Equinox in the Green Mountains. For beginners, we recommend taking the trek through Merrick Forest. Whether you stroll through the village or head for the big-name outlet stores in Manchester Centre, avid shoppers will be spoilt for choice.

The final leg of this incredible journey is back in Massachusetts, in the beautiful and prestigeous town of Lenox. Nestled in the scenic hills of the Berkshire region, Lenox is the perfect choice to end this charming itinerary. Perhaps you could spend some time hunting for those all-important holiday souvenirs in historic downtown Lenox, where you will find high fashion boutiques, antique shops, fine art studios, and locally handcrafted goods.
