Knife & Fort Culinary Tour

Experience a delicious culinary journey of Fort Street, a historic yet growing culinary neighbourhood in Victoria. Once known as antique row, beautiful Fort Street is now home to quirky shops, books stores, and tons of local restaurants. This tour is a great opportunity to discover new favourite spots, buy some locally made food items, and meet owners that make this street so inviting.

You will start the tour at Terroir Tea Salon where you will be treated to a unique tea tasting. Owners Charity and Jason are tea experts and their new tea lounge is sure to bring out the Zen in anyone. You next stop is at Choux Choux Charcuterie for a mind-blowing platter. This decade old European delicatessen specializes in homemade sausage, pates and artisanal meats and cheeses. You then head to La Taquisa for some traditional Mexican tacos made from an old family recipe. Next, you head next door to the newest kid on the block, Yalla, for some idle Eastern street food. You finish the tour at Crust Bakery for a sweet treat; this modern bakery uses local ingredients with a French twist.

Craft Beer and Culinary Tour

Craft beer in Victoria has exploded and on this tour you will visit four of the best brewpubs and restaurants that are creating and serving the best beers in the City. You will enjoy an afternoon tour that involves six beer samples, three food stops and lots of history about the craft beet scene and city.

You will start the tour at Varsha Indian Kitchen where you will sample their famous butter chicken curry and a spicy veggie pakora.  Indian food and beer are a perfect fit and at this stop you will pair two local beers that go perfect with dishes with lots of flavour and spices. After a leisurely stroll through historic Chinatown including Fan Tan Alley, you head to the iconic Swan’s Brewery. You will pair two beers with a creamy and crispy arancini and some of their bread made with the spent grains from the brewery. Bread and beer is a match made in heaven. Lastly you end up at Canoe Brewpub where you will sample a further two in-house beers paired with something sweet.

What do you know about Canadian food?  This tour starts at Fisherman’s Wharf and ends on Government Street.  You will visit seven local stops and all of the food and drink samples have a Canadian twist.  Candied salmon, poutine, Nanaimo bars, a maple syrup tasting, a Caesar cocktail, and a beaver-tail are just a few dishes sampled on this truly Canadian culinary adventure.

On this tour you will learn about what makes Canadian food different, hear stories about the history of Victoria, see beautiful nature and architecture in the downtown core, and meet the new locals and businesses that make Canada thrive today.
