Tucked between the mountains of Southeast Tennessee, along the beautiful Tennessee River, Chattanooga is one of America’s most breathtaking cities.  There’s a world of outdoor adventure, amazing restaurants, live events, art and world-class attractions waiting for you. One way to get around the city at ease is to rent a bike and follow the recent bicycle transit system.

Experience the great outdoors where options are plentiful including hiking Cloudland Canyon State Park, riding the Signal Mountain-Suck Creek loop, rafting the Ocoee or leaping off Lookout Mountain. The name “Chattanooga” comes from the Creek Indian word for “rock coming to a point.” This refers to Lookout Mountain, one of the city’s major attractions.

Take a cruise on the river or check out the city on a guided tour (choose from duck tours, double-decker bus or walking tours). Don’t miss the Tennessee Aquarium, Ruby Falls and, of course, Chattanooga Choo Choo. History enthusiasts will love the city’s museums dedicated to Civil War, Native American and 20th-century history.
